Goals of the formation
A TRANSVERSAL APPROACH TO BUSINESS LAW
The Master 214 offers an original approach to business law, which is rare in the current offer of general business law courses; it does not ignore the public dimension of this law. Thus, in addition to the numerous courses in pure private law (business contracts, mergers and acquisitions, advanced corporate law, etc.), courses with a public law focus (public business law, international taxation, regulatory law, etc.) are also taught.
A MASTER 2 WITH A PROFESSIONAL FOCUS
Because of the importance of confronting one's knowledge with business life, the Master 214 offers students numerous opportunities to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the legal professions for which they are destined.
This connection with the professional world takes place throughout the year, as students are strongly encouraged to get involved in the Legal Clinic, in partnership with CMS Francis Lefebvre law firm. In addition, practical workshops, carried out in collaboration with our partners, allow them to learn about the key stages of a "deal".
In addition, the teaching team is composed of excellent academics and business law practitioners. Many of the Master 214 teachers are lawyers, legal directors of large companies (notably Veolia and Casino), and members of prestigious institutions such as the Cour de Cassation, the Financial Market Authority, or the H3C.
Many law firms and large companies also participate in the training of students by hosting them in their offices. These meetings are an opportunity for professionals to present their activities and to give students valuable advice concerning internships and recruitment processes.
Finally, the theoretical training of the Master is completed by an internship, from 3 to 6 months, starting in April. This experience is an opportunity for students to learn about the concrete problems of business life by combining theoretical knowledge and practical mastery.
AN INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION
The Master 214 program reflects the growing globalization of business law. Some courses, such as international contracts and arbitration, prepare students to deal with cross-border issues, while other courses, taught in English (European Competition Law, Anglo-American Contracts, Transnational Law, etc.) familiarize students with the technical vocabulary of business law, which they will encounter on a daily basis in their professional lives.
